On July 12, 2013, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) released a request for proposals (RFP 530-13-0070 FCR) for its second foster care redesign case rate child welfare services and foster care contract. DFPS seeks bids for a sole source continuum contract (SSCC) for a seven-county metropolitan catchment area in North Texas that includes Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, and Tarrant counties.
