State Responses To The Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee Query About Olmstead Compliance

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee sought to assess state progress made to transition individuals out of institutions via the provision of home- and community-based services (HCBS) to allow people with disabilities to live in community-based settings. HELP committee staff also reviewed existing reports on state spending on HCBS and consulted with stakeholders involved in Olmstead advocacy and implementation.
