OhioMHAS Notice To Stakeholders About Delay To SMI Health Home Rollout
August 14, 2013
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) notified stakeholders of its decision to delay the statewide rollout of Medicaid health homes for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). The rollout had been scheduled to occur in October 2013. After the initial launch of phase one in September 2012 in Lucas, Butler, Scioto, Adams and Lawrence counties, OhioMHAS in July 2013 used the lessons learned in those counties to revise its plans. However stakeholders had many questions regarding the revised enrollment criteria and tiered rate reimbursement.
