Rhode Island Title IV-E Waiver Demonstration

The Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, & Families’ (DCYF’) Title IV-E Demonstration Waiver allows DYCF to use federal reimbursement funding in a flexible manner, to create an expanded continuum of home and community-based supports for children that have been placed in congregate care and their families. The five-year waiver was approved by the federal government on September 30, 2013. In the first year of implementation, DYCF anticipates the waiver demonstration project will serve approximately 1,600 children and families across congregate care.
