California Department Of Managed Health Care Accusation Against Health Net Regarding Denials Of Speech & Occupational Therapy

The California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) accusation against Health Net alleges that the organization improperly denied speech or occupational therapy services to 41 of its plan enrollees since January 2010. This accusation also alleges that Health Net violated a number of health and safety codes which require health plans to cover medically necessary speech and occupational therapy. The DMHC seeks for Health Net to identify and reimburse any enrollees who were denied these services.
