Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act Update
The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act was signed into law on July 22, 2014, to increase access to and opportunities for the employment, education, training, and support services for individuals with barriers to employment. The federal Departments of Labor and Education intend to publish a set of regulations for implementing the Act in the spring of 2015.
