Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care Investigation of Judge Rotenberg Educational Center Group Home

November 1, 2007 On August 26, 2007, the Judge Rotenberg Center told the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation that two teenage boys in a group home in Stoughton, Massachusetts, had mistakenly received mild electric shocks following a phone call from someone posing as a Center supervisor who told the staff to wake the youth and administer skin stings as a consequence for behavior that had allegedly occurred five hours earlier.
