Texas Department of Family & Protective Services Automated Travel Field Test Evaluation
October 22, 2007 Participants were selected from the Child Protective Services and Residential Child Care Licensing Programs. These staff represent a mix of urban and rural staff. The Residential Child Care Licensing (RCCL) staff conduct facility investigations; the Child Protective Services (CPS) staff work with children in substitute care. The job functions represent a different approach to travel. The RCCL staff have tablet computers and the CPS staff have desk top computers.
