Arkansas Senate Bill 913
March 9, 2009 Arkansas Senate Bill 913 was introduced by State Senator Mary Anne Salmon on March 9, 2009. The bill would require private health insurance companies to cover the diagnosis and treatment of ASD. Coverage must be provided for treatments prescribed, provided, or ordered by a licensed physician or licensed psychologist who deems the care to be evidence-based and medically necessary. Covered treatments include: diagnosis, habilitative or rehabilitative care, pharmacy care, psychiatric care, psychological care, therapeutic care, and Applied Behavioral Analysis.
