March 4, 2009 The Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) is planning to transform the public behavioral health system to allow providers to tailor services to meet consumer need. The transformation plans were shared at a March 4, 2009, fiscal year 2010 Budget Hearing held by the Commonwealth's Joint Committee on Ways and Means. The transformation will focus on person-centered outcomes that demonstrate an individual's improvement, and will support easy transition between inpatient and community levels of care.
