April 2009 This document is the transcript of an Open Door Forum held by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to present the Nursing Home Value-Based Purchasing Demonstration. The demonstration is a pay-for-performance test that will take place in from skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes in Arizona, Mississippi, New York, and Wisconsin. Facilities will be grouped into intervention and control groups. It will start in July 2009 and run through June 2012.
