Crisis Emergency Services Planning Workgroup Final Report

December 21, 2007 In February 2007, the District of Columbia Department of Mental Health began reviewing its crisis emergency services. This final report advocates the creation of a new mobile crisis team for those individuals who are unable or unwilling to travel to receive mental health services in times of crisis. The mobile crisis team will be a part of the Department's existing Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program, which provides psychiatric evaluation, treatment, stabilization, and observation for those individuals over age 18 . . .
