May 4, 2009  The Medicare Learning Network created an Overview of the HIPAA 5010 which will be in effect as of January 1, 2012. As of January 1, 2012 all claims must be sent electronically using: X12 Version 5010; and NCPDP Version D.0 standards. This also is a prerequisite for implementing the new ICD-10 codes . . .
