March 14, 2008 This indictment was brought against the defendants for grand larceny in the first degree and three counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree. The state claims that the defendants cost the state Medicaid program $30 million in false claims. The claim alleges that the defendants intentionally hired and employed unqualified nursing personnel for their at-home nursing services and knowingly made false Medicaid claims for these services . . .
