Sustaining Grassroots Community-Based Programs: A Toolkit for Community- & Faith-Based Service Providers
August 2008 The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) seeks to help providers develop sustainable programs that endure after grant funding ends. A focus on sustainable development also leads to the organizations long-term survival, which results in more capacity for consumers. To support sustainability, SAMHSA released a long-term survival toolkit that focuses on aspects of sustainability related to the organization itself assessment, marketing strategies, evaluations and the way the organization demonstrates its priorities through its handling of funds.
