State of the State Children’s Behavioral Health in Oklahoma
September 2008 This report presents a snapshot of children's needs for behavioral health and substance abuse services and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health's plans to improve access to care. Currently, more that 40% of Oklahoma youth who need mental health services and 80% who need substance abuse services are not receiving them. The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services recommends that the state invest in prevention, early intervention, and appropriate behavioral health services for children, youth, and their families . . .
