Texas DFPS Emergency Procurement for Residential Facility Placements for CPS Youth

August 6, 2007 The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) sought proposals from registered residential foster care agencies to provide residential services for youth with behavior problems. The procurement sought four gender-specific shelters to be located in Region 1 and Region 3. Those regions have had greatest number of youth with behavior problems staying hours and days in CPS offices due to the unavailability of appropriate residential placement settings for these youths.
