Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
October 3, 2008 The Senate grafted provisions for economic stabilization onto House Resolution (H.R.) 1424, the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act of 2007. The measure had passed the House as stand-alone legislation and a similar measure had passed the Senate as part of a tax package in late September 2008.
