U.S. Department of Justice Finds Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections in Compliance
September 15, 2007 On September 15, 2007, a report was issued by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) in regard to the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) and its compliance with a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed in 2004. The MOA stipulated that the ADJC take steps to improve services after a DOJ investigation found that it was deficient in preventing physical and sexual abuse and in providing mental health and special education to its residents.
