Florida Senate Bill 1394: An Act to Reorganize DCF

April 17, 2007 On April 17, 2007 the Florida State Senate submitted a bill (SB 1394) that would authorize the reorganization of the Department of Children and Family Services. It would require the department to integrate substance abuse and mental health programs into its structure and priorities and would allow it to be renamed to the Department of Children and Families. It also addresses the prohibition of altering or destroying agency records and making their meetings and actions a matter of public record. This bill was signed into law . . .
