Health Insurance Premiums & Cost Drivers in Minnesota, 2006
October 2007 Private health insurance premiums in Minnesota grew by 7.2% per enrollee in 2006, an increase of 2.77% over the 2005 growth rate of 4.5% in 2005. Per enrollee, health plans expenses increased by 8.9% percent in 2006; in 2005 costs grew by 7.2%. Enrollees per person average out-of-pocket cost grew by 15%, from $489 in 2005 to $562 in 2006.
