ODMRDD Interpretation for the Daily Billing Unit: Settings Where Both OSOC & HCP Routine Are Required in Congregate Settings

November 26, 2007 The Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (ODMRDD) has a new Daily Billing Unit (DBU) to be used by service providers and county boards to simplify the daily billing calculations associated with delivering Homemaker Personal Care (HPC) services to people in shared settings. The new DBU will help ODMRDD ensure statewide consistency in determining the amount of daily services individuals need, including on-site on-call services. The approval has triggered the following implementation dates: December 31, 2007- people not sharing HPC services with others, but are using negotiated rates must transition to 15 minute . . .
