December 7, 2007 The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services seeks a private entity to create an independent public-private partnership to succeed the American Health Information Community (AHIC) organization. The goal is to develop an organization that can unite public, private, not-for-profit, and for-profit entities from all sectors of the health community and to establish leadership that will accelerate emergence of a nationwide interoperable health information system.
