March 9, 2006 Grants to Faith-Based Organizations Fiscal Year 2005 In 2005, faith-based organizations received over $2.15 billion in funding. However, this overview based on 130 competitive programs and 28 program areas at seven federal agencies documents that while funding for faith-based organization initiatives has increased by 38% between 2003 and 2005, secular non-profits receive nearly six times more funding than faith-based non-profits.
