125th General Assembly H. B. No. 248 Representatives Gilb, Grendell, McGregor, Young Legislation is in the works in Ohio that will further regulate how non-profit hospitals operate. Michael Gilb (R-Findlay), state representative for Ohio, is the sponsor of the bill. The proposed bill will require that non-profit hospital offer charity care at a 4% rate of what is collected in revenue for treating all of their patients.
