November 4, 2005 KY Health ChoicesIn recent months, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) has set the stage for a major transformation of the Kentucky Medicaid program. This transformation, entitled KyHealth Choices, began with the development of a strong infrastructure which included improvements to the MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System), pharmacy benefit administration and the Department's utilization management and clinical review process. The Commonwealth now seeks to continue this transformation by emphasizing and building upon the partnership between Kentucky Medicaid and each of its members through an application for an 1115 Medicaid Waiver from the Centers . . .
