Ohio Consolidated Prescription Drug Purchasing Study
December 2005 Ohio Consolidated Prescription Drug Purchasing Study In June 2005, the Ohio General Assembly initiated a project to explore the potential benefits of a consolidated prescription drug purchasing program for the state. Based on the information gained from the project, the state has passed legislation to enable free clinics to purchase medications through the state-run Pharmacy Service Center (PSC). The state also plans to actively encourage more state agencies, municipalities, and non-profit agencies to use the PSC to obtain pharmaceutical supplies for locally run agencies and facilities.
