December 31, 2005 Over the Top: Ohio's hospital industry is enriching its CEOs-- but at whose expense?  A project of Care for Ohio, SEIU District 1199- Service Employees International Union. This report looks at nonprofit hospital CEO salaries for 2004 as determined by 990 filings on November 15, 2005. The SEIU reports that collectively 166 nonprofit hospitals in Ohio made $1.48 billion in profits in 2004. They further state that this figure is a 57% increase on the $940 million in profits earned in 2003.  Total Ohio hospital CEO compensation ranged form $105,542 to $2.14 million . . .
