UCLA To Open Research Center For Brain Disorders
UCLA launched the Staglin Family Music Festival Center for Brain and Behavioral Health, a research center dedicated to studying the brain and anxiety disorders, which is slated to open July 1. The center will perform research and develop treatment leading to new approaches in combating mental illness. The center’s researchers will seek to discover changes in genetic risk factors associated with environmental experiences and develop methods to address them. A UCLA psychology professor, Michael Fanselow, will be the center’s director.
