Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf appointed Montgomery County commissioners’ Chairman Josh Shapiro to chair the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. The chairmanship is an unpaid position and will not require Shapiro to resign from the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. The goal of the commission is to enhance the quality of criminal and juvenile justice systems, facilitate the delivery of services to victims of crime, and to increase the safety of communities. The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency is a collaboration of public servants and private citizens representing all aspects of criminal justice and juvenile justice.
