Nipro Receives FDA Clearance For Self-Testing Diabetic Device

Nipro Diagnostics received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for sale of its self-monitoring device for diabetics to test blood glucose levels. The new True Metrix Air self-monitoring blood-glucose system allows diabetics to send their data via smartphone to their health care providers. The product launch is a key element to Nipro's strategic plan to create health and wellness solutions that aid chronic disease management. True Metrix Air will be available at retailers during the second quarter of this year.
