Teladoc v. Texas Medical Board
On April 29, 2015, Teladoc filed an antitrust lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas against the Texas Medical Board and its members to prevent a new rule from taking effect on June 3, 2015. Teladoc alleges that the rule would restrict the practice of telehealth. The rule prohibits physicians from treating unknown patients without objective diagnostic criteria or ability to follow-up with the patient. Teladoc seeks a jury trial, but a hearing date has not been scheduled . . .
