CMS Letter To Florida Regarding Low Income Pool Amendment Request

In this letter dated May 21, 2015, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reviewed the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) proposed amendment to its 1115 Medicaid waiver to continue the Low Income Pool (LIP) program that funds uncompensated hospital care. CMS said it would not fully approve the amendment because it did not fully comply with new CMS policy for programs similar to the LIP . . .
