West Virginia House Bill 2880 Of 2015 To Create An Addiction Treatment Pilot Program

The legislation was signed on March 31, 2015, and goes into effect on June 16, 2015. The legislation directs the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) to develop a pilot opiate addiction treatment program that may include medication assisted treatment for Medicaid beneficiaries involved with the criminal justice system. The program will function as a study for enrollees diagnosed with opioid addiction who are in the state Supreme Court’s Adult Drug Court Program and/or the Division of Corrections’ work release program . . .
