June 2009 The Bridgespan Group researchers surveyed non-profit social service organizations in the United States to examine how the economic downturn was affecting the organizations. They sent 800 surveys; 100 organizations responded. The responses came from small, medium, and large organizations. The results indicate a disparate impact on smaller organizations.
