North Carolina’s Mecklenburg Reaches Deal With State Over Mental Health Services

Circle Connections: Awards & Accreditations Mecklenburg County has reached an agreement with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to provide mental-health services to Medicaid patients in the county. The state has set a "go live" date of March 1 for MeckLINK Behavioral Health. That public agency was created by the county to manage Medicaid contracts with providers in the mental-health field. The services are offered to patients with mental illness, developmental and intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse. The agreement reverses an earlier state decision that assigned the required waiver to provide those services to Kannapolis . . .
