Circle Connections: New Talent The Corbett administration announced that Beverly Mackereth will be the acting secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW) following the departure of Secretary Gary Alexander on February 15th. Mackereth is currently the deputy secretary for the Office of Children, Youth, and Families and was formerly a York County Representative in the General Assembly and executive director of York County Human Services.
