North Carolina Medicaid Director Resigns

Circle Connections: New Talent On September 23, 2013, North Carolina's Medicaid director Carol Steckel submitted her resignation letter to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) after just eight months on the job. Steckel will remain at DHHS until October 11, but will take a job with WellCare in Tampa. DHHS Secretary Aldona Wos had recruited Steckel from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals earlier this year.
