Mobile Diabetes Prevention Program ‘txt4health’ Launches in Cincinnati Detroit & New Orleans
New Products & Services In February 2012, txt4health, a mobile diabetes prevention and management public health campaign launched in Cincinnati, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; and New Orleans, Louisiana. The free 14-week txt4health program delivers personalized text messages to help people understand their risk of developing Type II diabetes and steps they could take to prevent developing the condition. Participants are responsible for text message charges imposed by their mobile phone plan.
