Facebook Announced Collaboration With The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration & National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

New Products & Services Facebook has announced a collaboration with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to help Facebook users in crisis. The new service will allow people to report suicidal comments posted using a Report Suicide Content link or other links found on the web site. Once a comment is reported, the user who posted the comment will immediately receive an e-mail from Facebook with references for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and a link to an online chat session with a crisis worker.
