California Community Foundation Launches Initiative to Help African American Male Youth

New Products & Services In May 2012, the California Community Foundation launched a $5 million, five year initiative to help afriican american male youth involved in the Los Angeles County probation system. The initiative aims to help african american male youth age 14 through 18 stay away from the juvenile justice system and towards education and employment. The initiative named "Building a Lifetime of Options and Opportunities for Men" or BLOOM, is expected to contribute to a 10% reducation in african american male youth in the county probation system.
