New York’s Suffolk County Enlists Mental Health Agencies
Circle Connections: New Products & Services As reported by the Associated Press on December 6, 2012, officials on Long Island say six mental health agencies are participating in a project that provides storm-related services. The FEMA-funded program is called Project Hope. It provides crisis counseling, outreach and education to residents of hard-hit communities. Project Hope is administered by the state Office of Mental Health in partnership with local governments. Suffolk County says it's initially receiving over $972,00 for the program.
