Mental Health/Mental Retardation Services of Texoma Has Been Renamed Texoma Community Center

Mergers & Acquisitions Mental Health/Mental Retardation Services of Texoma has recently changed its name to Texoma Community Center. The name change was brought on by the trustees to reflect the government's recognition of the term 'retardation' having a negative connotation in society. The name change first took place in April 2011, and a formal ceremony took place in August 2011.
