Tennessee’s Acadia Healthcare To Buy Facilities For $258M
Mergers & Acquisitions Acadia Healthcare Co. Inc. said it reached two agreements to buy a total of eight inpatient psychiatric facilities with about 600 beds, as the company looks to significantly expand its beds in operation and make its first entry into Ohio. The behavioral-health services provider agreed to purchase Behavioral Centers of America LLC, based in Nashville, Tennessee, for $145 million in cash. Acadia also agreed to buy AmiCare Behavioral Centers, headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for $113 million in cash. Acadia said it expects to complete both deals in late December.
