Kyle Janek Steps Down As Chief Of Texas Health & Human Services Commission
Texas Health and Human Services Executive Commissioner Kyle Janek, M.D., announced he is stepping down from his position effective July 1, 2015, to make way for new leadership. Janek was appointed executive commissioner by former Governor Rick Perry in September 2012 and is the second physician to serve in that capacity. Former commissioner of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services Chris Traylor will lead the agency beginning July 1.
