Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George To Resign & Lead Valley Hope

The commerce secretary in the administration of Governor Sam Brownback of Kansas, Pat George, announced plans to resign in July 2015. George has been with Brownback since 2011. A replacement was not announced for his position. He is leaving the state economic development agency to become president and chief executive officer of a nonprofit provider of alcoholism and substance abuse treatment.
