CMS Allows One Year Grace Period For ICD-10 Transition

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it will collaborate with the American Medical Association (AMA) to make the transition to ICD-10 (ICD, or International Classification of Diseases) smoother, including adding a 12-month grace period when claims won't be denied for unintentional code errors.
