Cerner, Leidos & Accenture Win EHR Contract From U.S. Department Of Defense

The U.S. Department of Defense handed down an electronic health record (EHR) system contract for its global Military Health System to Cerner Corporation, which joined up with defense computing contractor Leidos and Accenture Federal Services as the prime contractor and configuration specialist, respectively. The military's new EHR system will serve 55 hospitals and 600 clinics, and was chosen in a 22-month, Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization (DHMSM) procurement effort.
