New Jersey Assembly Bill 1102 Of 2014-2015; Provides For Licensure Of Dementia Care Homes By DOH

The legislation was signed into law on November 9, 2015. It shifts oversight of group homes caring for residents with cognitive impairment or dementia from the Department of Community Affairs to the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH). Under the new approach, the DOH will regulate dementia care homes as health care facilities. The law goes into effect in June 2016 . . .
