Tracking The Medicaid Expansion Bouncing Ball
Last year we took a look at Medicaid expansion, one year post-implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). At that time, there were 29 states that had implemented traditional Medicaid expansion with five of those states implementing a non-traditional Medicaid expansion (see The ‘Non-Medicaid’ Medicaid Expansion).
One year later that number has shifted slightly – there now 32 states (counting Washington D.C.) with Medicaid expansion, six of which have non-traditional Medicaid expansion. Over the past year, one state (Alaska) has implemented traditional Medicaid expansion, one state (Montana) has implemented non-traditional Medicaid expansion . . .
